THE DREAMCATCHERS!
HEROES
Raven
RAVEN, the leader of the group, is a bossy, no-nonsense, West Coast tweenager with a determined personality. She’s a meticulous planner who always likes to be prepared. On the surface, she seems decisive and strong-willed, but secretly, she’s deeply afraid of making mistakes. Although she can sometimes be a little tyrannical with the Dream Catchers, she always has everyone’s best interests at heart, and is a gentle, soft-spoken, mother hen when it comes to the Dreamers. Whenever she goes on a Dream-Quest, Raven transforms into TOTEM-MASTER, a cunning superhero and master of a giant, totem pole, guardian named TOTEM. Besides possessing incredible strength, Totem is extremely loyal to Raven, and has always got her back when the going gets tough.
Gordie
GORDIE is a free-spirited, new age, hipster from the East Coast. An adventurous, spiritual, and self-reflecting dude, Gordie carries himself with a very “go with the flow” kind of attitude. His even-tempered personality is a grounding force for the Dream Catchers, and he often serves as the mellow voice of reason when tensions are high. However, his constant meditation and passive, philosophical, point of view can also be his downfall, as it sometimes causes him to get lost in contemplative, somewhat nonsensical, tangents. Whenever he goes on a Dream-Quest, Gordie transforms into BOY-THUNDER, a hero who’s imbued with the spirit of the Thunderbird, and can dash through the woods like a downward-facing deer... That’s a yoga pose, right?
Johnny
JOHNNY is an anxious, warm-hearted, Inuit boy-genius from up North. Unlike Gordie, Johnny is less reactive and more contemplative, preferring instead to think things through and take the time needed to do them right the first time. Although a bit socially awkward, easily spooked, and an incessant worry wort, he’s an incredibly smart and gifted inventor, who’s vast, scientific knowledge and crafty gadgets never fail to get the Dream Catchers out of sticky situations. Whenever Johnny goes on a Dream-Quest, he transforms into KID-KARIBOO, a powerful, caribou, superhero with a huge set of antlers that can crush anything in his path.
Roux
The oldest member of the Dream Catchers, ROUX is a moody, short-tempered, street kid from the Prairies. She’s clever, sarcastic, and incredibly slow to trust. Impatient and impulsive, Roux’s the type to leap before she looks, which sometimes gets her and her friends into trouble as a result. Roux tends to want to do things her own way and hates being bossed around, which often causes her to butt heads with Raven. However, despite her indifference, and her “tough girl” bravado, she’s fiercely loyal to those who’ve earned it, and her sly intuition and razor-sharp wit is usually just what the team needs to get the job done. Whenever Roux goes on a Dream-Quest, she transforms into ROUGAROU, a cunning, canine, superhero who can smell trouble coming from a mile away!
BADDIES
I love Money
A miserly trillionaire who’s loyal to no one, except “maybe” his daughter, Mr. Whyte’s a heartless, conniving, narcissist, who’ll do anything to get what he wants. He’s the ugly head of the Whyte family and its nefarious Mega-Whyte empire. He’s a shameless windbag who loves to hear himself talk, and every word out of his mouth is either a lie, or an exaggeration. As the Dream Catchers’ arch nemesis, he’s a greedy industrialist whose only interest is making money, with little to no concern for the cost on the environment. Fortunately, he’s also high-strung, with an incredibly volatile temper that frequently leads to his undoing.
I love Daddy
He's Mr. Whyte’s son. His pride and joy. The apple of his eye!... Or not so much. Junior’s a big, goofy, oaf, with a simple mind, and a joyful disposition. Earnest but clueless, Junior isn’t really evil at heart, but his compulsive need to please his dad, often causes him to do villainous things. At the end of the day, Junior just wants to play, make his pops proud, and eat mud pies!
I love Technology
Professor Trope is the stereotypical mad scientist. A scrawny, bald, brainiac, Trope is a technological genius, and he’s very aware of it. As Mr. Whyte’s right-hand man, he’s constantly constructing some sort of new, environmentally-unfriendly, moneymaking, machine; often with eccentric exuberance. Secretly, however, he despises Mr. Whyte and hates working for him, though he’d never say it to his face! He’s a cowardly push-over, and a constant complainer (to himself), who’s quick to surrender in a fight. Luckily for him, Mega, his hulking, robotic, henchman, is never far from his side.
I love Me
Mr. Whyte’s fashionista/influencer daughter is a two-faced wretch. For the most part, she seems like your typical, self-indulgent, over-privileged, valley girl, but then she turns the other cheek and literally reveals her evil half! As her name implies, Vana-Tee's as vain as it gets; always puckering her lips, posing for the paparazzi, and taking selfies... or looking for opportunities to do so. She’s a spoiled brat who’s got her “Daddee” wrapped around her finger, and though he may be the head of the household, it’s obvious who’s the one in control around here.
